Hellenic Parliament Building

The Parliament Building is located next to the National Gardens and opposite Syntagma Square. It is the place that the Legislature of Greece assembles. The building is a unique neoclassical structure and was constructed in the period 1836-1847. It is designed by the Bavarian architect of the Royal Court of Bavaria Friedrich von Gaertner. Originally it was used as a palace by King Otto and afterwards by King George I until 1910.
